HOW TO TWEAK AN IMEI

Helooo guys as promised I have made a post on how to tweak an IMEI. Before I actually teach you how to tweak an IMEI, I want to tell you what it is, why you should tweak and how to tweak.

Firstly, what is an IMEI? For your information, an IMEI is an abbreviation meaning International Mobile Equipment Identifier. It is a unique identifier for a mobile device. Actually IMEI is a form of Electronic Serial Number (ESN). You can check the IMEI of any mobile device by dialing *#06# and immediately it will display a set of fifteen digits. It is a unique number used to identify any specific device. It is made up of fifteen digits. These fifteen digits are divided into three:
The Base (the first nine).
The Salt (the next five).
The Validator.

Believing you now know what an IMEI is. We will move to the next aspect of it which is knowing what tweaking an IMEI is. Tweaking an IMEI has to do with a slight modification of the numbers in an IMEI. This actually means replacing some digits in the IMEI. There is an agreed pattern for tweaking an IMEI. Some people might not have actually understood what it entails or how you do it right. For you to tweak a specific IMEI, you don’t change the whole numbers unless you end up messing it up. “The Base” is left untouched, while you replace “The Salt” with an number of your choice and the validator should not the added by you. It is added by an IMEI analyzer. Don’t worry I will tell you what that means.
Taking you to the next aspect is knowing why you should tweak an IMEI. I will explain this now. There are some specific devices or better still phones that when you purchase them and send a specific code, you receive a bonus for that. Like for example, you purchase a new phone and on activation you send a message to a number, you are rewarded with a remuneration for purchasing and using that phone. Now, the idea of tweaking is simply modifying your IMEI to the particular IMEI of that device such that when you send the code, you are recognized as using that device and as such you will receive the bonus for that specific IMEI.
Again, not all devices can tweak. For tweaking, you need an Android phone and not all Android phones can tweak. For an android to tweak, it must be a Mediatek device (an Mtk device). Another question lurking in your mind now is how to know if your android is an Mtk device? Well, I will outline two ways:
Checking the specifications of your phone online and checking the list to know if at the point where it’s written Mtk it says yes. Just go to Google and type for example, the specification of Infinix hot X506.
This second way is by going to Setting>>Apps>>All (swiping to the left to get All). You now check the list of processes running to know if any of them contain Mtk related name. Though I don’t know if it a better way but that is what I just found out.
Having found out that your device is an Mtk device, you are good to go.
